We know this can be confusing, and we’re sorry for any frustration — but Black Oak Coffee has two completely separate types of gift cards, and they can’t be used interchangeably. We wish it were simpler, and we’re always happy to help if you’re unsure which one you have.
1. In-Cafe Gift Cards
These cards are for use in person at our Ukiah and Healdsburg cafes or for order-ahead through our cafe app.
Where they work: In our cafes and in the cafe order-ahead app.
Where they don’t work: On our online store (blackoakcoffee.com).
What you can do:
Use for in-person purchases
Check your in-store gift card balance
Purchase a new in-store card
Reload your existing card
2. Online Store Gift Cards
These are for shopping on our website.
Where they work: At checkout on www.blackoakcoffee.com for coffee, subscriptions, or merch.
Where they don’t work: In our physical cafes or in the order-ahead app.
What you can do:
Redeem the emailed gift code directly at checkout on our website.
If you’re not sure which one you have:
Plastic card or app balance? That’s an in-cafe gift card.
Emailed code from an online purchase? That’s an online store gift card.
